  • "The Bench"
Walking along the single-track footpath between the villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter, we happened upon this idyllic scene. At an earlier time, the bench had been placed carefully alongside a slow moving stream as an inviting resting spot for dayhikers and then promptly forgotten, as the surrounding greenery reclaimed its rightful ground.
